ABOUT

I’m Cecília Veréb Lados, a Hungarian-born video editor and filmmaker currently based in Colorado, USA. I studied European Theatre Arts at Rose Bruford College in Kent, England, and after graduating in 2019, I spent several years traveling, experiencing different cultures based out of Dubai, UAE, for years before making my way to the U.S.

My background in theatre and my time living in different parts of the world have shaped the way I see stories and people. I’m especially drawn to work that feels authentic and human, and above all storytelling styles that thrive on the small details, emotions and moments that make a story feel true and personal.

In Colorado, I’ve worked as a content creator for the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, creating fast-paced automotive and event content, while also taking on community-focused and more intimate storytelling projects. Today, I work full-time as a video editor, bringing together everything I’ve learned from theatre, filmmaking, travel and the people I’ve met along the way.

I would like to explore a different topic every month and share my vision with whoever's watching or is interested.

This month I wanted to experiment with a topic that has been on my mind a lot: letting go. This film was created as a way to understand grief and why it is so difficult to let go of people, dreams or ways we imagined our lives to be. Grief has a million faces and we carry it with us for our whole lives. The challenge lies in being able to continue living our every day lives while carrying enormous pain. That’s where the beauty of life lies.
